Archimedic and Podimetrics collaborated to develop a smart, connected foot mat using a Remote Temperature Monitoring System™. This preventative technology helps avoid the high cost and mortality associated with foot ulcers.

The Podimetrics Mat™ can detect increases in temperatures around the foot, which precede the formation of ulcers. Typically ulcers are diagnosed only after an open sore has developed. With Podimetrics’ infrared temperature monitoring, patients can step on the smart mat in their own homes and it will alert their physicians if the mat identifies areas that are hotter than other areas. This allows for simple, brief and preventative interventions.
